I just install this cooler on my HTPC. It's a perfect match with the low-profile memory in the Silverstone ML08b. It is installed on a discontinued 8700k that has also been lapped. In the stock stress test, the processor reached 85 degrees Celsius with mx4 thermal paste. I overclocked it to 4.7 and during the stress test it reaches high temperatures of 9395. With normal use and gaming it will be around 70's. I hit the sweet spot at 4.3GHz and left it alone because I didn't want to heat up my build that much, and now it's hitting the mid 80s on stress tests. YMMV but I am satisfied with this cooler. There are not many options for 53mm high radiators. The only other thing I would consider is the C1, but it costs double/triple the price. The performance/$ is not worth it. If the fan is running at full speed, it can boot, but it doesn't interfere. All in all a good product, I had my doubts but in my case it does its best (pun intended). If you have a medium tower with a lot more airflow, opt for a larger heatsink or an AIO if space is at a premium. This is a good cooler. Very easy to install and remove.
