I received size Small. I had meant to order a larger size but somehow messed that up. I do like them though - they fit my sister who is a size 10. Then I reordered a 3x. While size 10ish is large for a size small, but it is normal for Roaman's sizing, as typically this is a brand for larger women - my personal favorite brand. Do note that they do have a $7.50 return fee, or return at your expense, plus a restocking fee. For a low cost item, it might not be worth it, so it pays to closely check your order and the sizing! I find the larger sizes are more what I'd expect- about the same as Lane Bryant store sizing, but the smaller sizes, like S, M, L are made larger than normal.These are just very basic true black capris. They are soft cotton and not at all scratchy- more comfortable than anything. They are roomy in the stomach and thighs, and that helps make them seem cooler. They provide good coverage to the knees, and look nice under long t-shirts, though they aren't as tight as leggings. They just pull on, and laundry is the same for a dark t-shirt or pants- just easy wash and wear, though I do wash my dark colors in cold water. They are cotton/poly blend.
