2016 Ford Fiesta SE

I was able to get this key to work with a 2016 Ford Fiesta SE. It's important to remember that this button has two independent, separate functions that can be programmed separately. 1) Vehicle start2) Remote locking/unlocking, trunk release, panic button The programming of the vehicle start function is described on page 64 of the operating instructions (see illustration). This programming method already requires two keys that can start the car. And of course the new key must already be made by a locksmith. Another reviewer described a "one key" method using Forscan and an OBD ELM327 adapter. I have no direct knowledge of this method working with a 2016 Ford Fiesta SE and this key. It can be. I can only confirm that the "two keys" method works with this particular key and this particular car. After programming the new key to start the car, press the buttons on the remote control to see if the car locks and unlocks. doors and open the trunk. It is possible that these functions were programmed at the same time as the engine start function. If they don't work, you'll have to program those features separately. See page 46 of the manual for instructions (see image). Before attempting this, make sure you have all the keys to start this car in your hands. You will need to press the button on the new remote AND ANY OTHER REMOTE you have. If you're just programming a new remote, you'll find that the buttons on your old keys no longer lock or unlock the car. At this point you will need to start the "Turn the ignition key 8 times" process again and this time make sure you press the button on any remote control you have.
