Review on ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ YUKOVTK Silicone Sponge Dish Sponges: The Ultimate Multipurpose Kitchen Cleaning Solution by Rosemary Wright

Surprisingly effective, but not for cleaning

If you're like most people, you're probably used to using a double-sided sponge, a natural or cellulose sponge, or a version of Doby's sponge with a cleaning coating . These food grade silicone sponges work on a different level when cleaning dishes, pots and pans. At first I found them wasteful when using dish soap, but the trick is to use less soap and pre-soak the dishes. Silicone's rubbery surface is great for picking up soggy residue on pots and plates, but anything that's dried or dried out is just about impossible to remove with these. We actually always keep a sponge in the sink for when one is needed, but for most dishes, these sponges work best if you let them soak for a minute or two. They are great for cleaning forks or skimmers where little fingers can slip between cracks. After trying them for a while, you'll probably find that you use less soap and the sponge is easier to clean. and completely remove leftover food and dirt from you. There are no cavities for particles to fall into. Likewise, using an excessive amount of dish soap does not improve cleaning power, it just wastes more soap. The silicone also seems to be much more durable and resistant to damage and wear and tear than our old foam sponges. As these sponges are not intended for cleaning they will not replace our old double ended or Dobie dishwashing sponges but I am definitely using them more often as I have gotten used to how well they work and how much cleaner they wash out. For that reason and the extended lifespan I can give them a solid 4 stars.
