Although every last phone I had had a screen protector, I was reluctant to put one on my new XS MAX for a number of reasons. First, the edge-to-edge display cover is very different from the old small display cover of previous phones. Second, I didn't want to do anything to distract the beautiful high-resolution OLED screen. But most of all, I didn't want anything to interfere with the work of the face recognition system and the front camera. And most early XS-series screen protectors insisted on only having a small opening for the speaker and covering the optical components with glass or plastic. Conflict with face recognition or front camera optics operation. Ideal. Now how about giving up the beauty of the screen itself? Luckily, this screen protector is also one of the thinnest tempered glass screen protectors available. The edge is almost impossible to see or feel and goes well with my Mujjo leather bag. The screen protector does not affect the appearance of my phone's screen and the only visible difference I see is that when I turn the phone off I see a notch where the notch is. I love that they include installation instructions, something you typically see with more expensive screen protectors. I also like that you get 3 protectors because everyone will screw up on the first try. ACTUAL INSTALLATION Regardless of how they're made, screen protectors can be a hassle to install. Here are some tips1. Install it in your bathroom. First, run a hot shower until there is steam in the air, this will cause dust particles to fall out of the air. However, not too much steam.2. Turn on any air purifiers you have and place them nearby. Turn on the bathroom exhaust fan if you have one, but do not open windows.3. Remove your pets from anywhere you work. No need to remove pythons, goldfish or rhino.4. Turn off HVAC if you have forced air heating/cooling.5. Work fast. Have everything you need at your fingertips and once you've cleaned your phone's screen and removed the last of the dust with tape, you're ready to install the glass. screen, but all I had to do was raise the glass and slowly lower it back down. It really is almost like magic watching it stick and push out air bubbles by itself. Note that they tell you it won't go all the way. Is that so. In fact, it stops quite far from the edge. I'm not sure I would have liked it if I hadn't used a case with a raised lip. Also note that if the screen protector is perfectly centered, there will be no notch. You'll probably never notice it, but I used Notch Enhancer to make sure it's slightly off-center. After all, I don't care how good it is, a cheap screen protector will never compare to what Apple does with their anti-fingerprint screens. This screen protector attracts a little more dust, gets dirty a little quicker and definitely shows more fingerprints than the actual phone screen. It's just something you have to accept. No one can make a valid comment on how it works to protect the phone as everyone uses and handles their phone differently. Some people are careful and some are careless who want to know that a careless person broke their screen. Not me. I'm in the cautious category, but I carry my phone in the front pocket of my jeans and prioritize scratch resistance over break resistance. So far I'm happy that this protector seems to do a very good job of protecting against scratches and there hasn't been any peeling or blistering. In other words, I installed it and just forgot it was there. Exactly what I was looking for.
