My partner is a human oven and I am a popsicle. This idiot likes to sleep right on top of me in a sweaty pile of limbs and let me cook more or less alive. After he rolls away, all the sweat turns cold and I shiver from the searing heat. When I say our bamboo panels saved a life, I mean they saved my partner from dying. For a long time I thought we needed sheets that didn't upset *me* because I was uncomfortable. . Turns out we need sheets that don't make *him* hot. Other "cooling" sheets we've tried tend to "regulate" the temperature slightly, in the sense that they cool each of us a little, they don't do anything to make up for the huge difference in skin temperature my partner's and my own. However, bamboo leaves seem to loosen some of them! Instead of lowering each of us a few degrees, they seem to have lowered it just enough to match my own temperature. Pros: We tried different brands of bamboo panels and these were by far my favorites. They are silky but not slippery, give the sheets a very nice sheen and make hair and skin supple. I can't stress enough how much I love this medium shade of blue we got - somewhere between cornflower blue and powder blue. They are so beautiful but not too feminine. Straight out of the bag, the sheets felt like cool water and there weren't any weird marks or stains on them. Washing was easy and without incident as it should be. We both love these sheets and find the price more than justified. We both sleep much more comfortably than on our previous bamboo sheets. The fact that I no longer have to turn my pillowcase five or six times a night speaks for itself. We will buy more. Cons: All bamboo sheets crease easily, and this one is no exception, but if you take them out of the dryer while they're still slightly damp, they'll dry evenly and stay that way until you sleep on them. Likewise, all bamboo towels happily soak up a little bit of leftovers from my super softening night cream or my friend's unwashed hair for a week or two, but it gets weak and goes away when washed. For sheets that feel good, stay cool all night and are gentle on your skin and hair, this is a great choice. If your OCD calls for wrinkle-free sheets that you can bounce a quarter, go ahead.
