Review on 🕐 Citizen Men's BM8475-00X Eco-Drive Military Black Plated Steel Canvas Strap Watch: Reliable and Stylish Timekeeping at its Finest by Angela Petersen

I was looking for another clean everyday eco drive. I already have a Citizen Ti-zilla and love the durability of this watch. I have a couple of good automatic watches, but I always reset my watch if I haven't worn it for a while. That is the great advantage of Eco-Drive. As long as the watch receives light, it will continue to function and show the time perfectly. I've been waiting for this watch for a few months. When it first came out, I knew I wanted to order it. I'm a fan of aviator and military watches. As a serving soldier, I like durable watches that are easy to read. I also like having a day/date option, especially for deployments where every day feels like groundhog day. When I saw this watch I knew it was the perfect combination. Some thoughts: Size: 42mm, the watch is big enough to read well, but it's not one of those huge watches. I like big dial watches and this watch is the right size. Face: The dial is clear and easy to read. As other reviewers have pointed out, the face is not black, but rather dark olive green. Personally, I like how they look and compliment the overall military look of the watch. The numbers are large and easy to read. The day/date window is a little smaller than I would like but is larger and I find it detracts from a simple dial. Hands: The watch hands are great. White makes a great contrast against a dark olive colored face. The minute hand extends long enough to make navigating the hands easier. Straps: I've never been sure about canvas straps, but this one will do. It's comfortable and not as stiff as I expected when I first got it. The size was not an issue and gives the watch a classic military look. For use in the constant heat in Iraq, however, I can replace the strap with a natural rubber strap. Lug Width: The 22mm lug width provides ample room for a variety of aftermarket straps and offers the best look for a large watch in my opinion. Crown: I agree with other reviewers that the crown should be screw-down. However, I have no plans to take this watch diving. The water resistance is more than adequate for most outdoor enthusiasts who don't go deep diving in search of lost treasure. Price: The price of this watch cannot be lower than the price. I haven't seen a lower price than what Revain is selling it for and as usual Revain's shipping has been top notch. I received the watch two days after ordering. Overall Impression: A solid, accurate and easy to read watch with a reliable movement. The Citizen BM8475-00X Eco-Drive Military watch, which allows me not to worry about batteries or resetting the time every time I decide to wear it, is an outright winner!
