K&N on RZR 800S Fits Oil Filter and Accessories

Much higher quality than original equipment! K&N filters are in all my vehicles, off-road and on-road. The welded cap nut makes installation very easy considering the 800S has the filter in the most inconvenient place on the entire engine. Schedule a 20 minute change and visually check that dirt has not entered the oil trough at the front of the engine. Before removing the existing filter, make sure the entire area is thoroughly washed and VERY VERY clean of debris. Don't waste your money on a filter wrench โ€” just slip a flathead screwdriver through the side of the original filter and unscrew it like that โ€” it's messy โ€” but the filter's horizontal orientation makes it impossible to bypass. The new filter will tighten approximately 6 inches with the base and extension when the passenger seat and access panel are removed. You will also need to remove the right rear wheel to access the filter. I think an engine designer should drive across the country and do nothing but change the filters. It's a terrible place.
