Despite a few hours of research and troubleshooting I couldn't get this reader to work on my S9. It works fine on my two old Android tablets (Samsung and LG). I bought a second reader from a different brand and it doesn't work either. The problem is not in this card reader, the problem is in the phone. I contacted Samsung directly but received no response. If you have a USB-C phone, keep the packaging so you can send it back if it doesn't work. I encourage BoneView to update this product description so buyers are aware. TO UPDATE. I contacted BoneView via email and they responded quickly. They suspected a defect in the USB-C adapter and sent me a new adapter a few days later. The reader is now working properly. I've increased my rating to 4 stars for the prompt customer service. I haven't gone through 5 runs yet because I haven't been able to use it yet.
