Review on Transcend 32GB Micro SD Card with Adapter: High-Speed & Versatile Storage Solution (TS32GUSDHC10V) by Brian Cruz

I bought this Transcend Micro SD card for my car camcorder and it came well packed with adapter. I have successfully used it in my dash cam to record 1 minute segments for 2 days while driving on city streets and highways. It seemed to work fine and when I plugged it into the SD adapter I was able to successfully boot my laptop and play video files. BUT when I checked the "characteristics" of the chip, I was amazed to find that there was only 18 gigabytes of available memory! I can understand that the formatted chip is a bit smaller than the advertised 32 gigabytes, but 18 gigabytes is a little less than 60% of the nominal capacity, which is not enough. So buy this if you want, but you're paying a lot more per usable gigabyte than you'd think based on the advertised specs.
