This is not kinetic sand. It is an off brand. It is still great sand and perfect for the price. It's quite a bit firmer and takes a little conditioning, but still has amazing playability. I think it's better then kinetic sand because it's still fun, and even affordable, especially for younger kids. I got the white sand and it's a clear, pretty white. It melts like kinetic sand but holds shapes a bit better due to it being firmer. Still loads of fun to play with.

This stuff is great! This is the first brand of foldable sand that we’ve found that isn’t obnoxiously sticky. It was super easy to play with right out of the bag. With just some light crumbling it loosened up and spring to life. We added the tiniest bit of mist from a spray bottle on top. Kept my My 3yr old busy for hours! He plays with his monster trucks and ramps in the sand. I bought a small plastic pool to try to keep everything in one place. Any sand that he "accidentally spilled” More likemy thrown out was easily swept off the hard wood floors or vacuumed off the carpet. Daughter loves this sand. Pretty light blue. If you've never tried this kind of sand before, try it. It's pretty cool. I introduced this sand to my grandsons, ages 3 and 5. They love it! I set up a plastic table cover either on the table or floor and let them dig in. Unlike regular sand, (and we live in Florida), this coolsand has the ability to be molded perfectly! My older son had received kinetic sand for his birthday last year and so my younger son started playing with it and loved it so I decided to purchase him his own for his birthday this year. He loves the color orange so that is why I chose the one I did. It is a lot of fun and he loves that it has sparkles but I don't share in that love--they get all over whatever he touches after he plays and the sparkles make it have an odd texture compared to other kinetic sand. I am absolutely thrilled with this product! I had a supply of the "name brand" sand that had finally dried out (after 5 years!) I was unable to find the "name brand" sand anywhere locally and the on-line prices were quite a bit higher then I wanted to pay. I ordered CoolSand in 3 different colors and the grands just LOVE it. My kids have played for hours with it. I hid sea animals in it and we pretended it was the ocean. I bought 2 bags so each child had some to play with. I highly recommend cool sand.

Good to play with but we really couldn't use any molds with it. Otherwise it feels nice, doesn't stick (which is why you can't make molds) to your hands, and the Red is a pretty color. I agree with others the red more like a p

Wonderful stuff! Exactly what has been promised in it's reviews and so much fun for the kids. The only warning I would give is that the sparkly stuff does have a tendency to leave glittery traces on your table if you're not thorough about clean up! And more sparkly stuff on your hands! I would recommend it for older kids (I teach middle school) just because they are a little more careful in their clean up process. To be honest, I was really disappointed with how it performed so I added water to make it more like the name brand.did I stop there?no, I also added essential oil to it so now, as a college student, my room smells like lavender while I simultaneously relieve my anxieties.

This sand is definitely beige - not even a debate about if it could be considered white. Extremely disappointed as I was planning to use it as snow for the grandkids in a Christmas sensory bin. If you are looking for something that will look like snow don't buy this product.

Wrong color! I ordered white sand and the sand was natural sand color (off-white/ecru/tan), not white. The sand on the left was white sand from last year and it still was whiter than the sand on the right from CoolSand.

I had never played with any kind of sand like this before but I had purchased a box of 2 lbs for each of my kids for Christmas. Before Christmas someone had given my daughter the name brand kinetic sand in a very small kit as an early present, and all I could think was, oh dear God - what did I do? The product is good, it is what I expected. I would choose to buy a bigger pack if I could do it again.My child is crazy for it, and though I don’t love the mess, it’s worth it!

It’s not as soft as the Kinetic sand brand, but it sticks and does keep children entertained regardless. It’s a brighter red, and thankfully doesn’t stain, as some cheap sands do.

The white on the picture is white. It is really beige! I was going to use it as snow for elf on a shelf in my classroom, but it is not even close!
