Now that there are so many beard care products out there it's good to do your homework and buying a trial pack online is good. This way you are not tied to what you don't like and can then order a larger size of what you do like. This product, no matter what scent you choose, emulsifies well and doesn't leave your hands waxy like some others do. You can always wipe off excess on elbows, ankles and other rough areas. Scents are a matter of personal preference and require some work.1. Pine smells like a public men's room. It was immediately destroyed.2. Bay Rum smells like Atomic Fireballs, cinnamon. Also in the trash.3. Cleary Sage has a citrus scent. Not clever, but not offensive.4. Sandalwood does not have a sandalwood scent or even a woody scent. The most neutral of all and the one I use. Giving it 3 stars as the base product is ok but was hoping for more natural and not overpowering flavors. I'll probably return to the Honest Amish once I've finished the two samples I've kept.
