This way you are not tied to what you don't like and can then order a larger size of what you do like. This product, no matter what scent you choose, emulsifies well and doesn't leave your hands waxy like some others do. You can always wipe off excess on elbows, ankles and other rough areas. I really like this balm. after washing your hands, only a slight waxy feeling remains on your hands. others couldn't seem to get the balm off their hands. so this one is acceptable. It's easy to spread and apply, but because it's thin I've found it doesn't stay on my beard all day and absorbs relatively quickly. I really like these scents. I personally love sage scents as well as pine scents. Sandalwood is good too. Bay rum was ah. But that is of course subjective.
