I was starting out baking my own bread and was finding it difficult to get even slices so I decided to try this to help. Straight out of the box, I unpacked it and it broke. It folds up to save space, and the collapsible portion is held in place by tiny plastic tabs, which it did. It's not useless, but not worth sending back. I mean it was only $10. I'll keep it and use it until it doesn't work at all and then just throw it away. Although I will definitely buy something more expensive next time.
