I have this and a brand name Camlink and I prefer this one. This is bigger. See the Mirabox version for more reviews. It's listed as Mirabox in quicktime/obs, which is the good part. The audio input is really good, as is the HDMI output. I use it with a 5d IV that transmits sound (love mic) through the camera. Sound through the camera syncs everything. It has some kind of crazy letters printed on it, but I don't mind it adding some personality. It's a bit of an obscure part, so unless you're very familiar with what it does or why you need it, I'd recommend delving deeper. It might be worth noting that a cheap laptop without upgraded graphics can't handle 1080p videos. You need a more serious laptop with graphics upgrades.
