Dangerous! Not marine rated.
This product is dangerous. Installed in a Jeep Wrangler that sees regular offroad usage. I wanted a marine rated outlet in case any water or other contaminants made their way into the cabin. Driving home, and I noticed my phone stopped charging, and smoke was billowing out of the top of the unit. Unplugged the cable from the usb charger, and popped open the caps for the sockets, only to find them excessively corroded and shorting out internally, but not enough to pop the 10A fuse I used to power the setup. I will absolutely be returning this, and staying away from this product going forward.
- Very well made and easily installed with the provided wires.
- The digital display voltmeter may not be easy to read in bright sunlight or low light conditions
