I noticed 2 things that concerned me. At first the water seemed to flow unhindered. I don't understand how efficient filtration keeps the water flowing so fast. There is no resistance at all to the flow of water. Second, when I use original Pur filters, the water that comes out of the filter is VERY soft. It's so soft that running two fingertips under the filtered water feels slippery. The Aquacrest filter does not change the physical properties of the water at all. The Pur filter flows much slower, but at least I know it's being filtered. When I looked at the description of the Aquacrest filters, it didn't specifically state that they filter lead or other contaminants. Pur filters contain a list of pollutants that are filtered. If the seller of these filters can clarify what their filters are actually filtering out of the water and what percentage of contaminants are being filtered out, I would change my rating. I don't understand why filter manufacturers are not required to state the pollutants that are actually filtered in their product descriptions.
