Edit in a few months; The midsole has a softer feel and definitely stinks more than my old pairs. Slight smell, not a good combination. Cost or "improvement"? sigh. 3rd couple in 15 years. Bombing. New ones are only needed because my pronation is wearing down the heel. Still keep old pairs in trucks for backup. I don't like the sole for water sports, but for everything else (besides heavy mountaineering) this is my only summer shoe.
