I've recently begun using wire rope for various household projects, such as picture hanging, and I'm very impressed with how easy it is to work with, and I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with its added strength. I ordered the TOYELIU black vinyl coated rope to hang a Christmas decoration indoors and to string lights outdoors. I wanted wire rope with a black coating, so that it would visually recede. Working with the wire rope was quite simple, but you'll need to purchase sleaves and thimbles separately. It's particularly good for stringing outdoor lights, as it doesn't have the give standard rope would have (i.e., it's less likely to sag in the middle). Keep in mind that you must strip off the black vinyl coating wherever you attach a sleave and thimble.
