Review on Immersive Gaming Audio: Logitech G935 Wireless DTS:X 7.1 Surround Sound LIGHTSYNC RGB Headset - Black/Blue by Josh Koa

Phenomenal wireless headset

Foreword: I've been using the Turtle Beach Stealth 450 wireless gaming headset for years and have enjoyed virtual surround sound and a high quality microphone. However, a friend recently upgraded to a Logitech 933 and was delighted with the sound quality compared to the Turtle Beach line. With the release of the G935 I decided to take the plunge and am very glad I did. Pros: - Virtual surround sound is significantly better than what I've experienced before, whether it's with DTS Virtual Surround or Dolby Atmos with Stealth 450. The easiest way to explain the difference in sound quality between the two is to say That Stealth The 450 Surround offers sound so that every channel appears to be at the same level, providing a boring but functional surround sound option. However, the Logitech G935 delivers crystal-clear distinction between each channel and is very noticeable in games where audibility from all directions is crucial, such as gaming. B. Insurgency Sandstorm, Anthem, Battlefield V, etc. that I have tested so far. The new Logitech G Hub makes managing your headset easier. Mic quality is even better than the Stealth 450, and the handy mute feature is better than pressing the mute button on the back of the Stealth 450. - The volume wheel on the headset connects directly to Windows, so you can just turn it louder or louder. - Two programmable shortcut keys on the headset allow you to switch between surround modes (movie, game, etc.) or use them for other functions. - Switchable RGB lighting. Cons: There are no cons at all. Logitech took the G933's feedback very seriously and improved it. The only thing I can suggest that is NOT a disadvantage is lowering the default bass volume from 11 to 5 to start with. Even with this setting, the bass is phenomenal and you can easily cut or boost it to your liking.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Hard to say
