The old Logitech, which had been purchased three to four years prior, started having some operational issues. I tried a variety of mice in the store, including those that were on display, ranging in price from low to high. I didn't care for the majority of them because they were either wireless (not for me), had a side scroll that collapsed when you pressed the scroll wheel (most models with a side scroll; it would be better if it didn't exist), had a reduced form factor (not the best grip for long-term use), had either too tight pressing on the scroll wheel (raisers) or too tight scrolling (geniuses), or were generally uncomfortable in the hand. I'm sorry, but G9 was wrapped up and not lying flat on the display, so I couldn't get a feel for it. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate my old Logitech, which was a very convenient piece of equipment. This one initially seemed to be the most appropriate, but it is still a very long way from being ideal. It would appear that the cheaper method of production is having an effect. The next day, I will take it back to the store where I purchased it. As a direct consequence of this, I went with the Logitech Value.
