These lights were used for DRLs on a 2011 Impreza. They've been upgraded from Nokia's amber bulbs, which are more yellow than standard bulbs but don't give that bright yellow glow (see image). On the other hand, they're lighter and definitely hyper yellow, so you don't need to tint the lenses unless you want them to look yellow when the lights are off. I can't say anything about the durability of the lamps, but so far I like their performance. As mentioned, you may need resistors to get rid of the flicker/low output. Also, make sure you install both lights before you think something is wrong with them. I tried to compare with the installed halogen and LED but the LED didn't work properly. If you have both LEDs installed but the light output is still low, order some resistors. Just make sure the polarity is correct when installing (just swap the plug if the bulbs don't work with resistors).
