We bought this for my sons room for a number of reasons and I think it's good for them. 1) the poop smell from the diaper pail is real and 2) the airflow in the room is poor and there is no way to install a fan. Assembling, setting up and running was a bit finicky. The device is bulky, although I believe it is smaller than a regular filter. However, it pulls air in the back, and being so bulky only makes the problem worse. You can't lean your back against a wall and it only works at certain angles. The legs are kind of weird so it's difficult to position him properly and now he's standing at a weird angle on a bookshelf. This does an excellent job of filtering out the poop smell that constantly pervades his room. I used to light candles there when he was at school, but now I don't have to worry. So I would say the filter is great. They need to be changed every 6 months and aren't the most expensive so I think this is a good filter option. It also circulates air well, creating airflow in a stuffy room. I think a full size fan would be best but for now this will work. It's also quiet so we can whisper or hear each other in his room - there's a lot of gaming going on. We play music while he sleeps and it doesn't affect the acoustics, which is nice. Overall this is a great filter and fan. I just wish they would fix a weird leg/positioning issue.
