Keep in mind that the product picture is really well lit. The jacket is much darker than it appears in the photo. I'm a 6'2" 220lb guy (a little bit chubby) and This jacket was a bit small for me in the large size. the buttons for the coat pockets are purely there for aesthetics, and serve no real purpose. On a side note, the jacket itself has a removable zipper that takes out an upper part of the collar. It's an interesting feature that allows you some option on how you want the jacket to look.
