Let's get this straight, the build quality of this chair is very similar to all other random pop up brands. There are ugly mold lines, excessive burrs in places, hardware feels cheap, etc. The box arrived with some parts that broke through the cardboard walls. There is no padding. I think a lot of parts were damaged by scratches and nicks from grinding on the floor in the warehouse. I need a chair NOW so I just left it there. (How about at least a partial refund?) Regardless, it's better than other chairs I've received recently. It doesn't have a lumbar pad or bar but the mesh is quite stiff and shaped to support my entire back/neck. There is also plenty of room for a pillow if you want. The base is heavy, which makes the chair stable, especially when rocking. turns. Every time you turn, it sounds like your house is being haunted. Functionally it's a good chair, if it weren't for the damage and noise from the haunted house I'd be more lenient.
