Excellent optical splitter
Like many others my subwoofer died in my soundbar and the only way to get a subwoofer was to split the output and hook up a third party powered subwoofer. Did I have a wireless subwoofer, which means the soundbar doesn't have a subwoofer? To solve this problem I had to split the optical output and this unit does exactly that. I added this unit before an optical RCA converter and was able to keep my existing soundbar by simply adding a better subwoofer.
