I bought these to fix low voltage lights I had installed in my garden 6 years ago. While the craftsmen were digging and cutting the wires, I had good lamps, but they needed new connectors. These aren't the most comfortable or forgiving connectors, but they're easy to attach and work when placed correctly. The real problem with them is that when applied to cables that have been in the ground for several years, they become increasingly difficult to penetrate the insulation. Sometimes the tip of the lug bends around the wire and there is no connection. They work well with new wire, but now just as well with old hard wire. I made them work by breaking through the insulation first.
