I bought this moving kit specifically to move a large closet in my bedroom. Unfortunately the cabinet was solid all the way down the bottom with no gaps so I couldn't maneuver the lift underneath no matter how hard I tried. You need another person to tip it slightly to get under it and that defeats the purpose of being able to move it alone. I tested the set on some living room furniture, namely a large armchair and a sofa. It worked as it should and I could easily move the wheels under my feet. However, they didn't roll well on carpet. As long as the item you want to move has a small gap at the base, like most large household appliances, you can use this set to move it. Although there are no instructions, you can easily figure out how to use the parts. Raising shims is a great idea, they allow you to use the lift under parts with large gaps at the bottom. The only assembly required is to secure the bolt in the lift arm. The four mini cars are sturdy and the wheels move easily. They could probably carry around 500 pounds if the weight was split evenly between them. All in all, this is a pretty good product. I will update if my mind changes.
