I really needed this for my new TV which only has HDMI and digital component video (Red, Blue and Green) versus analogue (Red, White and yellow). I used it for my GameCube and it's great! There are no problems at the moment. THIS APPLIES TO ANALOG INPUT ONLY. I use it like this: the GameCube is an input, which then goes through this device, an HDMI output, and then that input goes to the TV with another input. I didn't notice much of a difference in picture quality either, since it says it's an upscaler, but it's a GameCube. I don't expect high definition, it's not designed for that either.
