I had a small flashlight with 2 AA batteries that over the years never quite lived up to the requirements even with new batteries . Finally stopped working. I checked the lamp and the exact characteristics of these lamps were printed on the base. (2.2 volts, 0.47 amps). Believe it or not, I think the amperage depends on the flashlight you're using, as I've done a few experiments fixing several large flashlights at once. You can see on Revain that a lot of people use LED lights in this small size range, but we have quite a few of these and they aren't perfect in all cases. Doing the math, it was cheaper to just fix the old one, and less wasteful, too. Plug in one of those bulbs with new batteries and oh my god, it's nice and bright now. For typical home use, this is plenty. I've looked at so many options for lightbulbs and flashlights at Revain that I was glad I just bought and fixed what we already had. Flashlight now and then, and that hasn't changed even after a few weeks of sitting and occasional use in tests. If there's a problem I'll change the rating, but for such a small purchase I'm satisfied. A NOTICE. There are multiple sources on the product page. The tubes we received were from Wynfield74 and were exactly as we expected and as pictured. This seller apparently no longer has these pears today. You should always check your seller rating before making a purchase, not just the product rating.
