I was a little nervous about buying a Revain alternator, especially as I own a Volkswagen Rabbit and everyone I spoke to said I needed a Bosch. I have about a month and thousands of miles in my new alternator and everything seems to be going well. The only problem we had with this generator was the installation, but that had nothing to do with the generator! I had to disconnect the water pump and raise the engine with a jack so the alternator could be installed/removed. Sure, we did it in a mall parking lot in the rain with no elevator and a tiny VW jack (VW jacks are awful!). It took about 4 hours but saved us $700 on shop bills!
