Omnifilter cb3 filters are so expensive that I looked for alternatives. These filters fit my later Omnifilter model and the price is right. However, I installed this filter a week ago without telling my family and everyone commented that the water tasted weird and I agree. Ordinary tap water is better. I put the TIER1 filter back on and the family was happy. So at $6 for a filter, they're not worth it. TIER1 costs around $12 and Omni around $35. The Omni filter still produces the best water. TIER1 is the next best thing. In my opinion these filters are not worth it, spend your money on another brand. Also, we have really good water to start with, so the filter doesn't have to do much to remove chlorine and any stray contaminants, so it's not like we're trying to fix well water. That these filters do more harm than good is just bizarre.
