You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for. Yes, they're cheaper, but it takes a long time to get your first taste of a filter rinse. My family practically had to learn how to turn on the faucet for 30 seconds before drinking water to avoid fun tastings. I would recommend getting a better filter and spending a few bucks more. They also don't have a choke plate like some of the best filters, so the flow of water out of the faucet isn't greatly reduced. That could be a plus I think.

Pros
  • Beautiful construction
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Looks like a good deal at first glance. It really isn't. The caps fall off on impact. The rubber pads fall off when you look at them. Given the quality, I'm wondering if it's activated charcoal or just black paper. Most likely not 0.5 microns. You can still install them and they offer some filtering. This product is definitely not NSF certified. However, it seems good enough for me to use the rest. However, I will not buy this product again.

Pros
  • Replacement Under Sink Water Filter
Cons
  • No Instructions

Makes water "taste " funny.

Omnifilter cb3 filters are so expensive that I looked for alternatives. These filters fit my later Omnifilter model and the price is right. However, I installed this filter a week ago without telling my family and everyone commented that the water tasted weird and I agree. Ordinary tap water is better. I put the TIER1 filter back on and the family was happy. So at $6 for a filter, they're not worth it. TIER1 costs around $12 and Omni around $35. The Omni filter still produces the best water…

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Long delivery time
