Nice design, the soap often slips right off the blunt pins!

I like this design. most of time. I'm very glad someone is still making them. I remember thinner versions from the 70's that did their job well and lasted forever. I like their overall design more because they are crisper overall, slightly larger and thicker. Here's the dilemma - I think those thicker "fingers", "thickness", "thorns" holding the soap don't fit. They are too blunt, too round, the soap really slips off the holder more often than it stays on. You have to be very precise when placing your pole! I have 3 hypotheses: 1.) Blunt "pillars" come out better from the molds used to make them. 2.) Blunt pins won't dig into the soap, which keeps the holder attached when you lift the latch. 3.) Blunt, rounded stands are just more aesthetic, and no one really paid attention to functionality. However, these posts should really be a little "exciting"! There has to be a middle ground. sharpness.

Pros
  • Not only useful for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Too stupid
