Size stayed the same after one wash. However, this is because the socks are more elastic than regular thick cotton white everyday socks. The description says "additional padding" in some places. It's not like this. The best that can be said is "less thin" in these areas. Don't complain because when you're a size 17 you take what you can get. And while they're thinner and more stretchy than I'm used to (I'd say closer to "hosiery" than socks, but again no complaints), at least my toes don't wobble back. If you have big feet and can't seem to find the right socks, then they're fine. (Although I have to say that even if they stay the way they have always been, $10 is an insane amount to spend on a pair of socks, especially if they're made abroad. Make them here in the US and the price will be more reasonable.
