Review on Nekteck Transparent Plastic Enclosure Adapter by Brett Islam

The speed of this external USB-C SATA enclosure was terrible at first. I got 38MB/s transferring video from my Dell 5510 workstation laptop with internal SSD. My external SSD is a Samsung 850 250GB SATA HDD. I assumed the problem was with the product because the price was cheap. I WAS WRONG! The guys at Nekteck were very helpful in locating the Thunderbolt 3 driver update needed for my Dell Precision 5510. I was a little confused as I already had the latest driver. I uninstalled the driver, rebooted, then installed the driver from Dell's website, but performance still hasn't improved. A NOTICE. A FIRMWARE UPDATE FOR THUNDERBOLT ON DELL COMPUTERS IS ALSO REQUIRED. Once I downloaded and installed the Thunderbolt firmware update, the Nekteck case launched like a champ. Now I get 400MB/s when transferring files to/from the Nekteck case. Thanks again for your help. These people really support their product.! I will buy other products from them in the future as I trust their products and support.
