When I originally set this up I had a weird echo when I spoke. My theory since I started using headphones is that they picked up the echo of my voice and the auto amp amplified the echo. I installed the latest firmware which was pretty easy and after that it seems to be working great! I haven't tried tweaking any settings yet. I tried standing 20 feet away in another room with a door between me and the mic and the sound was still pretty good. I also have NoiseTorch installed to eliminate typing noise and I have a set of speakers that I plug into the ReSpeaker when I don't want to use headphones.
