I bought the gray shoes for regular summer wear. I was so surprised at how much I liked them that I asked my wife to get me a pair in two different colors. I started using leather pumps for everyday wear about 40 years ago. About 5 years ago I switched to canvas boats (Sperry); They are fairly comfortable but tend to wear out too quickly to fit me. I was looking for a replacement when I noticed these shoes cost a lot less. They are more comfortable than leather or canvas pumps. I'm happy. A warning: the soles are pretty thin. While they don't show significant wear, they are uncomfortable on rocky surfaces. Definitely not hiking shoes, except on a sandy trail.
