I have suffered from insomnia for over 30 years. I've done numerous sleep studies and taken both prescription and over-the-counter medications with little to no relief. Prescription drugs unsettled me, but I never felt rested. So I thought I might try this weighted blanket. I received it this week and have been using it for 3 nights. The first two nights I slept most of the night and the sleep was a deep, refreshing sleep. Last night I slept deeply and restfully for 9 hours without any medication. I hope my sleep continues to improve. How much a good night's sleep has affected how I feel today. I have to say that I really had to get used to the weight. But the weights are evenly distributed and the duvet cover is very soft. I know this blanket is a bit pricey but I would definitely recommend it to anyone suffering from insomnia.
