They work but smell awful!
I know it's silly to judge canvases by their smell, but my preschool class used them for Mother's Day gifts. As soon as we took them out of the packaging, they smelled like manure! It's not enough to make the classroom smell like kids, just add the smell of poop. I would send them back just for the smell but we needed them ASAP. We painted these canvases with acrylic paint and you can still smell it. If the smell doesn't bother you, then do it. Personally, I don't know if I'd want to buy them again.
