I've been using the Dewalt for about 4 years before it got stuck from penetrating particles. I disassembled it and found a lot of rust. I keep my tools clean and air-conditioned, so that let me down. I can't say the Milwaukee will be any better as I've only used it a couple of times since getting it. But I can say that it runs much smoother and smoother and I see or feel almost no resistance or loss of power whether I'm using it in a 48 volt rotary hammer or a 9 volt screwdriver. It seems more durable than Dewalt. Also. I am very happy with this tool. For the past few years, for one reason or another, I've swapped out all of my Dewalt power tools and used Milwaukee products instead. So far I'm very impressed and not a single tool has let me down. I'm not sure what happened to the Dewalt line in the last 5 years, but I'm glad the Milwaukee was an excellent replacement in every way. Milwaukee is the snap-on power tool.
