I ended up using both light strips. One around my TV and one around the back of the stand underneath so there's some accent lighting behind both things. I think it makes the room cozier and also a great addition to my man cave. I highly recommend this product! Be careful when removing the adhesive backing. I mixed it up during installation and some of the adhesive came loose along with the backing which made it not stick properly to the back of the TV stand. I always watched it when I installed it on my TV, but if I had known beforehand I might have been more careful on the TV stand. Regardless, I'd say it's a great line of bands with a controller if you don't need the smart stuff. However, if you really need the smarts, you can buy a wireless adapter for your strip lights. Packages with the wireless controller already installed are also available. So maybe think about it before you buy this set.
