Review on Sailun Ice Blazer WST3 225/50 R17 98T winter by Jnis Zari ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

3 part. When changing lanes in a snowy low track (I haven’t had to deal with a high one yet), there is a slight toss of the rear axle, but if the track is smoother, then everything is fine. On wet asphalt and wet snow (I put them on one level), the tires behave very well. On a snowy road (the snow is rolled about 1 cm (maybe less)) they also feel comfortable, and braking and acceleration. For all the time of my break-in, I repeat one thousand and a few kilometers, the speed of the car did not exceed 100 km per hour. There were three or four times when overtaking had to accelerate to 120 km per hour on the highway, but for short periods (I didn’t find any problems, I’m talking about buildup). tire size 205/55 R16. In general, I am satisfied with the purchase today, the final decision is whether I like these tires or not. I can only say after the end of the operation of these tires, well, or at least a season of departure.

Pros
  • 1 part! Before these tires, I drove a Gislaved Nord Frost 100 (like so). How disappointed I am in them. I got them along with the car, I bought them, I thought that I would leave for another three seasons. I really thought so. very often they failed, the abs crunched every now and then, the esp was constantly turned on, these tires had no hook at all, even the disk bent on a curb stone, since they did not brake at all in the porridge. The production is 2022, I found a lot of reviews about them, that this is no longer the same gislaved that was brought from Europe. There were no spikes on it (more precisely, there were what was left, the spine), the rubber was 15 years old, I also have a 15gv car, which means the car was sold on this rubber (although not a fact). The only suspicion why they behaved so badly, I was caused by the fact that I bought a car from a girl, and she most likely drove them in the summer too, because there were no summer tires when buying. Although the tread was good on them, BUT there were constant drifts on the ice, after 120 km per hour the car began to float, on a frozen road they showed themselves very cool, they worked like friction clutches (Velcro), but as soon as a small crust of ice or snow porridge, then everything is like flying in the summer, you don’t know where . ((( In short, I was very upset. The previous car (Nissan Note) had Kama Euro tires, either 519 or 219, it doesn’t matter, so, they at least pearled on ice norms, and the spikes after 5 seasons, 60 percent were in place (I'm not lying, I was in shock myself, I bought tires from scratch and drove myself).
Cons
  • Part 2! And now about the SAYLUNS. Attracted by the price (3100 per share tire), plus reviews. I admit honestly, if all tires like Goodyear, Michelin, Nokian and other famous brands were cheaper by a thousand, or even one and a half or two, then I would take them. But the financial situation said something else))) Initially, I chose Nokian Nordman 7, Yokohama of some kind, the same Goodyear and other well-known tires in the region of 5000apiece. As I said above, the price tag for all 4 tires really bothered me. As a result, I chose Viati Brina Nordico and there was something else in the name, I don’t remember, I was already getting ready to buy them, but on YouTube I saw a video about sailoons out of the corner of my eye. First I saw Sauylun VST 1, but the model was outdated. Then I began to study this brand in more detail, read and watch videos on the Internet, and I came across SAILUN VST 3. Now about the tire. pulled with a review for a long time, tk. it was not possible to test them on ice, snowy road. There was only slush, dry asphalt and snowy (if I may say so) asphalt. I've driven over a thousand miles on them. Visually, the spikes are all in place. There is noise on the asphalt, a rumble too, but not the same as on previous Gislaveds (on them, Gislaveds, as if the bearings were buzzing at all four hubs), the car is quite quiet, despite the spikes. They hold it on the pavement with dignity, when entering a turn, drift is almost invisible, acceleration in a straight line and when exiting a turn without slipping (this is very easy to do with spikes). Recently there was ice, they showed themselves well, but the ice was not very strong, in some places, but still when driving through these places, I didn’t notice ice at all, even in turns (the drift became a little more than on dry asphalt, but at the same time controlled). continued in comments
