Review on 📃 Brother ADS-1700W Wireless Document Scanner: Fast, Easy-to-Use Scanning for Home, Home Office, and On-the-Go Professionals (White) by Michael Godo

The scanner was fantastic when I first got it. Now, to even start scanning, it takes almost a minute from pressing the scan button to starting the scan. It used to be a matter of seconds. It now performs a double document feed. So when time is not a factor, this scanner still shines. Going back to scanning one page, I can scan about one page per minute. Yes, I tried restarting it and reconnecting the Wi-Fi. (I personally think this problem is caused by a software update). I've also tried cleaning the roller multiple times, but it still works twice. It basically pulls one side in half twice and pulls the other. The new software shows how many pages I've already scanned, and I've got just over 5,000 sheets, so I did scheduled maintenance. Maybe that's only enough for 5000 scans? Update: the feeder still has issues, in addition to not being able to scan more than one sheet at a time, it regularly scans sheets at an angle and the software doesn't support deskew. Feeding sheets one at a time, straight up, is probably a feature that's often overlooked because it just works. Well it's not for a brother. It looks like the scanner will fail over time. Planned obsolescence. I think I rated this scanner 4 stars when I first got it, but over time it's dropped to 1 star for me and I'm looking for a new scanner. It can't even reliably pull through a leaf.
