Best Mobile Scanner

I am a mobile notary and needed a fast reliable mobile scanner. I bought it and returned it because it wasn't compatible with my Chromebook. Instead, I bought the Doxie Q, which had great reviews and was just awful. I have decided to buy this again and if I had to I would buy a laptop it is compatible with. Started off fantastic

The scanner was fantastic when I first got it. Now, to even start scanning, it takes almost a minute from pressing the scan button to starting the scan. It used to be a matter of seconds. It now performs a double document feed. So when time is not a factor, this scanner still shines. Going back to scanning one page, I can scan about one page per minute. What a joy once installed

I've spent an incredible amount of time setting up this scanner. It offers about six ways to control the scanner. I wanted to scan to a shared folder on the local network for two reasons: so that all our computers can use the scanner, and we can work with the scanner while sitting at it since it's in a separate room with different network equipment. There is a learning curve

This is an amazing scanner. There are a few things you need to know. To save to a network folder: A.) If you want to save to a server, you need to know how to access the server. B.) Not for me for office electronics

This test covers the main functions of direct USB 3.0 scanning using the Brother iPrint&Scan application only. I haven't tried the Wi-Fi scan method as I couldn't figure it out and plan to use it extensively. For $199 I thought the Brother ADS-1700W scanner would do a lot more than a typical all-in-one printer, but unfortunately it doesn't do what I need. Didn't scan to my NAS and no cloud services menu - had to send it back.

Purchased ADS-1700w to replace ADS-1500w. The scanner is faster, but that's the only feature that seems to have improved. I can't get the ADS-1700w to scan to a network share on a WD PR4100 NAS. No matter what I tried, I updated firmware, various configurations and even contacted Brother Level 5 Support. Although they are working on it. Also, WD logged into my computer to make sure the NAS is properly configured. It scans normally on the PC. I had no problem scanning the ADS-1500w to my NAS, so

sporadic outages in customer service not based on solution

I bought this unit from Amazon two months ago. At first I thought the block worked fine. It rarely jams, seems fast, and scans well. Until the device started scanning black pages from the first page. After Brother made a service request and spent over an hour on the phone troubleshooting, they decided to escalate the issue to a higher level of technical support.
