VERY cheaply made but functional. It's so cheap, in fact, that the "volume" and "headphones" stickers are printed upside down and on the wrong part of the device I received. But the device works. I converted an 11 hour audiobook from cassette to MP3. The device works as it should and is still in good condition. Solving some problems I see in other reviews: 1) Yes, the device is cheap. I've mentioned some of the issues I noticed above. However, it works. 2) Some people have problems with the software, I don't know it all came on a mini disc. I used Adobe Audition and had no problems. Audition is a good program and I'm very familiar with it, so this may play a role in the ease with which I completed my project. If you're using a poor quality program or don't know what you're doing, I see problems. 3) driver. Again, I don't know what was on the minidisk. To me it seemed as simple as plug and play. Once the USB cable was connected, the device installed itself on my Windows 10 system. 4) Using Audacity. I know some people say the software on the MD and the downloadable software is on the website is Audacity. Audacity isn't the best choice in my opinion, but the company uses it because it's free. Lots of people like it too. My advice: use other software if you can. I know not everyone can afford to buy another program, but I wouldn't use this device if you have nothing but Audacity. If you've never used audio editing software before, I would recommend finding someone who has prior experience using it. I say this based on the feedback I see from others. In my experience this shouldn't be a problem unless you have a faulty unit or you just don't have any experience with PC audio. It's very easy for someone with experience if you have a working device. In case anyone is interested, I used this on a PC with: Windows 10 Education (64bit), all latest updates and drivers 16GB RAM Intel i7-6700K Adobe Audition CC software, 4GHz, Creative Soundblaster Omni Surround Audio (2015 version)
