Update The latch on this chest where the lock is located was literally bent back and the chest was opened and the contents stolen. Very disappointed in this product and disgusted that I wasted my money and bought two of these. This is the second chest in Seward of Revane and is the perfect place to store valuables or memorabilia. Sure, it's not a safe, but it has handles and wheels for all your photos and papers, which can get pretty heavy. It has its own locking mechanism and deadbolt so you can use your own padlock. There are no screws on the outside, which is a great protection. I love both the pink and blue colors (as well as others) offered to core members. It can easily be used for Christmas ornaments or decorations and eliminates the need for plastic storage. The model I ordered was the perfect size for my needs - not too big and not too small - and ready to be sent to college dorms or summer sleepovers. Great purchase and will likely order more in the future. If you have extra blankets or winter clothes, pull out the space bag and stool - all those bulky items won't take up space now. Depending on your decor, black can also be used as a coffee table. It's a good looking piece that does double duty.
