Loud whistling. Moves a lot of air, but is too loud and not controllable at all. only 2 wires.

It's not just that they are loud or noisy, but also the tone: a high-pitched, annoying tone. If it's tucked away in a case or something and you need to move a lot of air out of a very small package, then that's fine. But for computers, AV gear, or whatever you're listening to, I doubt you'll be happy with the noise.
