Type of review

It's not just that they are loud or noisy, but also the tone: a high-pitched, annoying tone. If it's tucked away in a case or something and you need to move a lot of air out of a very small package, then that's fine. But for computers, AV gear, or whatever you're listening to, I doubt you'll be happy with the noise.

Pros
  • Only positive
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it is written

Dislikes PWM Best in Case Fan

This fan doesn't support PWM properly. So if you don't want this fan turning off or on at full power, then this fan is for you. If you are looking for a replacement fan for your Prusa MK2 or similar printer, skip this fan. Does not like PWM signals.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Modern

I can't hear you over the hair dryer.

These things are loud. I have 2 of these on Petsfang and I regret it in a way you won't believe. However, as another reviewer said, they only work 100% without a capacitor, so I'll add that to see if they're still removed or not. I'll probably look at another model from another vendor that has 5015 adjustable silent fans

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Overpriced

Excellent at 12V No speed difference

They ONLY work on 12V. Any reduction (e.g. 50% or 75% speed on 3D printers) will not spin the motor at all. So it's all or nothing. Otherwise it blows damn well.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Can't remember

Be careful when connecting to your board

I wasn't careful and connected the fan directly to where my previous fan was connected. Blown circuit and fan. Luckily there were two packs. Opposite these contacts are the Anet A8 fan contacts. For the second fan I had to re-solder the connector.

Pros
  • Fits like everything before

All or Nothing - Computer Components

As others have said, they're extremely powerful (and noisy) for a 12V 5015 fan, but if you try to reduce the speed with PWM, like with a 3D printer, they stop listening completely turn. Not recommended for printers.

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Good fit for RV interior fridge

I have this in the RV fridge. They are very thin and small. Also power. I used double sided gorilla tape to stick them to the top of the fridge. They prevent the formation of ice on the cooling fins on hot, muggy days.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Quality

Worked great for about 2 weeks then died

I admit I may not be using them properly. I installed this as a set of two fans for my Ender 5. I connected them in parallel from an existing 12V power supply. They will blame under 40% power (which is probably why they died). I noticed none of them worked so I checked everything back to the fan. One fan refused to spin at all, I was able to turn the other one on, but after it ran for about 30 seconds it started smoking. This was after about 2-3 weeks and maybe 200 hours of work (40% or so was…

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Useless features

So many uses.

I picked them up with the intention of connecting them in parallel and using them with an air duct to cool parts on my 3D printer (Flashforge Finder). Use on a 3D printer. Then I wanted to use it as part of a solder fume extraction system. These little guys have a narrow airflow from the nozzle, so I chose a physically larger fan. But I've used compressed air to clean my consumer electronics and I think they're great for that. I tried using it on my Nintendo Wii U and it worked pretty well…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Clarity
