This was a purchase to avoid the cost of a second airline bag. I'll buy a small coaster to use with this crate and keep it in the crate when flying. I was able to pack some displays and equipment for the show, although it was usually an oversized bag which I paid extra for. like a second bag and without extra charge. The quality of the box is good, the plastic is hard. It has survived travel abuse, some scratches and scuffs from airlines pulling the box. If you plan to use it as a standalone box, or mount it on an ATV, or throw it in the back of your truck, that's fine. .The quality of the box is good. It's thick in the places where you need to make it strong, it can support my 200lb weight sitting on the crate. There are no gaskets to make it waterproof, it's basically a lockable lid. I use straps with a belt clip to hold top level and security. Remember it's just plastic, it's not a Pelican case, but for my airline use it works great.
